This policy explains what information Stump Grinding Cheap LLC (“we”, “us”) collects when you use stumpgrindingcheap.com, call us, or hire us to grind a stump, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form. When you use our contact page we ask for your name, phone number, and optionally your address, the number of stumps, and a message. The form sends that information to us as an email; the website itself does not keep a copy in a database.
- Phone calls and texts. When you call or text us we receive your phone number and whatever you tell us about the job, such as your address and what needs grinding, so we can quote and schedule the work.
- Doing the job. When we do work for you we keep the normal business records of it: your name, address, phone number, what we ground, the price, and how you paid. We keep those records for bookkeeping, taxes, and so we can serve you again.
Information collected automatically
- Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how people find and use this site: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are, what device and browser they use, and how they arrived. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to do this. Google explains how it uses that data at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. We do not send Google Analytics your name, phone number, or other information that identifies you.
- reCAPTCHA. Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to tell people from automated spam. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Server logs. Like almost every website, ours is run by a hosting provider (Vercel) that keeps standard server logs, including your IP address, browser type, and the time of each request, to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
- To answer you, give you a quote, and schedule and do the work.
- To keep the business records the law and good bookkeeping require.
- To keep the website working, secure, and free of spam.
- To understand which pages and which advertising bring people to us, so we can spend our advertising money sensibly.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers that help us run the site and the business and that handle your information only for us: Resend (which delivers the contact form email to us), Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, reCAPTCHA), and Vercel (hosting).
- Anyone the law requires, for example in response to a valid court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
- A buyer of the business. If the business, or part of it, is ever sold or transferred, customer records go with it so the new owner can keep serving you.
Third parties such as Google may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites when you use this site; that collection is governed by their own policies, linked above.
Cookies and your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work; the contact form still needs reCAPTCHA to send.
- Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
- Do Not Track.Our website does not change its behavior in response to “Do Not Track” signals from your browser, because there is no common standard for how to honor them.
Seeing, correcting, or deleting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call 352-345-5567 or send us a note through the contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it, such as invoices for tax purposes.
Children
This website is for adults arranging stump grinding at a property. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, the contact form is protected against automated abuse, and access to our email and business records is limited to the people who run the business. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date at the top. If the change is material we will say so plainly on this page for a reasonable time after it takes effect.
